Our Recovery support service team offer a range of services to assist you in achieving your goals. Our expert Substance Misuse Practitioners will guide you through your treatment with interventions tailored to meet your needs. These include brief advice and information sessions, structured one-to-one and group sessions, and access to many community and in-house services.
Recovery is not just about substance use - it’s about rebuilding your skills, relationships and plans for your future. It’s about realising your dreams and aspirations, and being able to plan successfully to achieve them.
Our first meeting we will establish what it is you wish to achieve. This involves completing a comprehensive assessment covering your history and current situation - this allows us to be able to ensure we know exactly how to support your needs.
Following the assessment you will then be allocated to a practitioner who will hold regular sessions with you throughout your treatment. In these sessions we will create a Recovery Plan together, the aim of which is to clearly establish how we will achieve your desired goals and who needs to do what and when. Planning is vital to beginning and maintaining a successful recovery but you have already made the biggest step in this journey by deciding that you wish to make changes to your current situation. Now it’s time to roll our sleeves up and get doing !!
Now here’s the thing no one sustains recovery by just putting the drink or drugs down as lots of changes need to occur, many of which are replacing that time spent using with meaningful activities. During your sessions with your key worker they will share with you a timetable of positive activities that you can access throughout treatment, such as our Recovery Through Nature Project where we work together with the National Forest across Derbyshire.
